Funny story...

About a year ago, I found and won an auction at E-Bay for this kit:

Easy Built Models FF-59 Royal Aircraft Factory SE5

http://www.easybuiltmodels.com/ff59.htm

I have a rule that I only pay 20 bucks total for a kit, and this includes freight.
So if freight on a kit is 8 bucks, all I'll bid is 12 bucks totaling 20 bucks.
Freight makes it tough on a seller now daze... There's lots of kits that I'll never
be able to buy this way, but I've managed to procure most of those plans, so it's
all good... (Guillow's B-29, Mossy, and P-39) With lots of patience, I've built up
quite the pile of kits despite my rule.

So, about 6 months ago, I found and won another SE5 kit for 20 bucks, so now I got
2 of em! Before I put both of em on the shelf way back and then later I looked in
the boxes to see what arrived, and as is typical of E-Bay crap, the plans were missing
from the newer kit, but no problem I've got the plans in the first kit, so it'll be
fine. So, On the shelf they go to be ignored for awhile...

3 weeks ago, I got to fellin' froggy, and hauled these two kits down, opened em up
and started staring at the plans. As we all know, the staring at the plans stage
is crucial to a successful project. Generally, the longer one stares... So, there
I am staring, and taking inventory of the two kits. Counting, recounting doing the
math, redoing the math. NOTHING IS COMING OUT RIGHT! What's the deal? It's a biplane
so there's way to many wing formers, and my brain just ain't working right, but I
finally figure out that we must be short a whole gruntload of printwood for wing formers.
No sweat tho, as 1/16" balsa is easy to get, and I'll just make em myself, and all will
be well... So, might as well start cutting out parts, now that I got this mess sorted
out...

So just for fun, lets lay this stuff out on the plans and see where we really are. Wait
a minute! We're not short any wing formers at all! Okay think. What's up here. I know!
I bet, that I've bought the kits for the same seller, in two sales 6 months apart, and
they've mixed the perts in the kits together, and then gotten it wrong putting them back
in the box, and sold em to me! So, I have 1/2 a kit in one box, and a kit and a half in
the other box. That's it!... Ok, so lets get it all cut out, sanded, and laid out ready
to assemble. Whew! What a mess!

So, here we are 3 weeks later, and it wasn't two kits at all. It was 3 kits in two boxes,
one set of plans, and my records indicate that the two kits came from two separate sellers
at E-Bay... Um... Go figger?
